UPSC CDS 1 Exam 2020 Update: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the list of candidates whose application for Combined Defence Service Examination (1), 2020 has been rejected due to non-payment of application fee. Candidates who applied for examination can check their name in the list available on the official website of the Commission – upsc.gov.in.

In the notice issued by the UPSC on 25 November 2019 regarding the UPSC CDS (1) Exam 2020 application rejected list, a total of 16 candidates have been found whose payment confirmation was not received by the respective bank authorities.

All such candidates whose name is given the UPSC CDS 1 Exam 2020 Applications Rejected List can appeal against the rejection along with the documentary proof regarding the fee payment. The candidates would need to send their appeal to Commission either by hand or by speed post. All such requests can be submitted to Smt. Pushpa Minz Under Secretary (CDS), Union Public Service Commission, Room No. 427, Ayoug Sachivalaya Building, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069.

Candidates should note that the appeal against UPSC CDS 1 Exam 2020 Application Rejection will be accepted within 10 days of receiving email from the UPSC in this regard, the Notice clarifies.

UPSC in its UPSC CDS 1 Exam 2020 Applications Rejected notice has specified the documents that can be produced as proof of the application fee payment. These include,

(a) bank pay-inslip (in original) if payment was done through cash mode in SBI or its designated banks, or

(b) a copy of Debit/ Credit Card Statement or Bank Account Statement, in case the application fee was submitted through debit/credit cards or internet banking of authorised banks.

UPSC CDS Exam 2020: Application fee

All the candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs 200 either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.

UPSC CDS Exam 2020: Educational qualification required

  • IMA and Officers’ Training Academy: Degree of a recognised university or equivalent.
  • Indian Naval Academy: Degree in engineering from a recognised university/institution.
  • Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or bachelor of engineering.

Note: Graduates with first choice as Army/Navy/Air Force are to submit proof of graduation provisional certificates on the date of commencement of the SSB interview.
